"That's the lifeblood of our businesses"

John Jay Sweeney

I want to go back for a second to the job costing module. And, and again, that's, that's the lifeblood of our businesses here. And, and, and that's the, in my mind, the feature that really distinguishes ComputerEase from any other system that I worked with before. And one of the key elements of that job costing module was something called the job center. It's, it's an excellent, excellent one stop shopping center for job costs at any one point in time.

We have not found that there was anything that we haven't been able to track uh, we track things such as uhm, customers, the typical customer sales volume, we track uhm, advertising, where does our best advertising come from uh where do we get our best ROI on advertising. We collect all that information right up front.

What I witnessed over the, you know, months that I’ve been here is that it has enabled us to track and monitor our job costs down to the very last penny. We know how many units we've used, how much that has cost us. We know what areas we're weak in, what areas we're strongest in. We know what jobs we need to target. We know what we need to go after. It has, it leaves nothing to question on where we're at in a job, in a particular job.

And the way ComputerEase is set up, when you set a budget item up, you can track both the lump sum amount for each of your cost types and you can also see what the related unit cost is for that. So it does a wonderful job, better than almost any system I’ve ever seen, on tracking unit cost information.
